About me : I am concerned about the city of my birth, Mumbai. Apart from being a naturally passionate person, I am deeply affected by all the wrongs that we citizens are inflicting on the city. I care about the weaker sections of society & want help or advice about how to go ahead & do something about it rather than sitting around sucking my thumb. I love nature & worry about the environmentally unfriendly things that happen in Mumbai in the name of progress. I like intelligent conversation which refrains from abusive language or Ugly jokes. now that the serious stuff is out of the way-i am not always serious. in fact i have a super sense of humour and an laugh at myself the most. laughing is one of my best pastimes - seeing the lighter side of life is what makes one tick. |

Favorite Music & Artists : All genres of music except remixes, trance & techno. I'm partial to the beatles. though most of the music from the 70's & 80's is a close second. pink floyd, genesis, asia, yes, heart, dire straits , def leppard to name a few. Alan parsons project is a big fav. I love old hindi songs where the lyrics & music were in tandem with each other. rdb of course, madan mohan, salil choudhary, sdb to name a few. Jazz has its own place - grover washington, louis armstrong, miles davis. and classical in both indian & western styles. i could go on & on. |

Favorite Books & Authors : That changes with age. at one time it was enid blyton, then it was fountainhead, followed by the courtney series by wilbut smith. the whole gamut of fictional best-sellers. now its indian authors like Chitra banerjee devakaruni, bhyrappa, girish karnad, amitav ghosh ..... paulo coelho, gabriel garcia marquez are favourites |

Favorite Movies, Actors & Directors : Sholay, Padosan, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam & ever other guru dutt film. Every single bimal roy film, satyajit ray film, gulzar in the new film makers it would be vishal bhardwaj, sanjay leela bansali, karan johar, adi chopra. in english films, guy ritchie holds a close position. tom hanks, tom cruise, liam neeson there are just too many t omention |
