About me : Basically ... a small town guy,, with small time interests and pursuits,,, ended up doing wildlife biology and currently working on wildlife trade issues (enforcement and legal stuff)... ok,, that sounded mundane I know.. what I really am is hard to describe... but to give you the reader an idea,, I am not a party animal and prefer staying at home or going to something like a film fest, theatre, a book fair... than discotheques,, I am a morning person,, and like to start my day early,,, workdays are spent in front of my terminal at office and getting back at home there is nothing like watching a nine - o - clock horror flick on HBO.. hee hee hee... |

Interest & Hobbies : Used to be an avid reader,, but somehow had stopped reading as much as I used to. These days though I am again reviving my old self. currently reading "Journeys through Babudom & Netaland" by TSR Subhramanium, Catching a foreign film on TV , Playing my guitar (I play only rythmn), cooking, used to play a lot of comp games used to review them too,, but have gotten out of that addiction for better or for worse.. Listening to my World Space radio .. I specially like the Channel "Falak [ghazals], Orbit Rock [70s rock stuff] , BOB [ Alternate Rock], Worldzone [ music of varying genre], thats all I guess ... |

Favorite Music & Artists : Hmmm,, favorite artists are Nirvana, Guns and Roses (only a few selected songs which are more acoustic than metal like the Patience, Sweet child of mine, november rain, dont cry, civil war, ) , STP (stone temple pilots), scorpions on lazy sunds mornings, Doors (when I am drunk hee hee hee), some grunge (easy of pearl jam, evanescence) |

Favorite Books & Authors : Used to love reading those african sagas of Wilber Smith, had loved Sahara which also was made into a movie with the very delectable penelope cruz in the lead. All time favorite is Exorcist (the book), Travelogues are also favorites (Paul Theroux - Iron Rooster, Great Railway Bazaar, etc.) William Darlymple's works are also nice (On the Silk Route, City of Jinns, White Mughals (the latest), The Fish Eyed Goddess, )... Science fiction ,, and lastly Stephen King (have read all of his works except the gunslinger series which was not my cup of tea,,, his short stories are amazing too)... Liked some of Peter Saul's work but in contemporary horror nothing beats Stephen King,,, |

Favorite Movies, Actors & Directors : Quentin Tarantino is my favorite Director (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill series, also From Dusk to Dawn), Action Flicks with some moral (Rambo series - the underdog fighting the system), Terminator series, Woody Allen Movies. Among actors Johnny Depp, Woody Allen, Billy Zane (he is the epitome of the dashing villian), Actresses - Anjelina jolie (what lips yaar :)), Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry (monster's ball), Charize Theron (did you see monster?) |
